Description

The Fig Tree, scientifically known as Ficus Carica, is a deciduous tree that belongs to the mulberry family. It is native to the Middle East and Western Asia, but it is now widely cultivated in many parts of the world, including Europe, North America, and Australia. The Fig Tree can grow up to 10 meters tall, but the average height is between 1.0m to 1.7m. The Fig Tree has a unique appearance with its large, lobed leaves that are up to 25cm long and 20cm wide. The leaves are dark green and have a rough texture on the upper surface, while the underside is covered with fine hairs. The tree produces small, inconspicuous flowers that are pollinated by wasps. The fruit of the Fig Tree is a pear-shaped or round structure that is about 3-5cm in diameter. The fruit has a tough skin that is green when unripe and turns brown or purple when ripe.
