Description
Rosemary herb, scientifically known as Rosmarinus officialis, is a perennial evergreen shrub that belongs to the mint family, Lamiaceae. It is native to the Mediterranean region and is widely cultivated for its aromatic leaves, which are used as a culinary herb and for medicinal purposes. The plant grows up to 20-40cm in height and has a woody stem with needle-like leaves that are about 2-4cm long and 2-5mm wide. The leaves are dark green on the upper surface and grayish-green on the lower surface, with a strong, pungent aroma and a slightly bitter taste.
