Description
The Day King, scientifically known as Cestrum Diurnum, is a small to medium-sized shrub that typically grows between 60cm to 80cm in height. It is native to Central and South America, but has been introduced to other parts of the world as an ornamental plant due to its fragrant flowers and attractive foliage. The Day King has glossy, dark green leaves that are oval-shaped and grow up to 10cm in length. The plant produces clusters of small, tubular-shaped flowers that are white or pale yellow in color and emit a sweet, jasmine-like fragrance. The flowers bloom in the spring and summer months and are followed by small, black berries that are toxic to humans and animals. The Day King is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of soil types and growing conditions, but prefers well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. It is relatively low-maintenance and requires minimal pruning to maintain its shape and size.
