Description
Adenium obesum is a poisonous flowering plant that belongs to the Nerieae tribe of the Apocynoideae subfamily of the Apocynaceae dogbane family. It is a plant that grows slowly, only around 12 inches per year. Its wide succulent trunk, thin and delicate leaves, and rich, deep pink trumpeting blossoms make it a popular bonsai plant. Africa, the Middle East, and Madagascar are their native habitats.
